The Problem I Lived
As a professional footballer representing my national team, I experienced firsthand the challenges that even elite athletes face. Despite competing at the highest level—with 15 international caps across U21 and senior teams, playing in countries like Russia, Italy, England, Belgium, and Sweden—I struggled with something fundamental.
I couldn't build the support team I needed.
The professionals provided by my club or national team weren't always the right fit. Sometimes I simply preferred working with a different specialist. Other times, the expertise I needed wasn't available at all. And when I did manage to assemble a group of professionals, coordination was a nightmare.
Documents went missing. Reports were lost. Communication between my "team" was fragmented at best. They tried to work together, but without a central hub, it was nearly impossible for them to make truly informed decisions about my development.
This lack of proper support contributed to my early retirement in 2024. I fell out of love with the sport—not because of the game itself, but because of the broken system around it.

Jake Galea
Founder & CEO
Jake Galea is a former professional footballer who represented his national team with distinction, earning 15 caps across U21 and senior levels. His career took him across Europe, competing in countries including Russia, Italy, England, Belgium, and Sweden, experiencing firsthand the demands and challenges of elite-level sport.
In 2024, Jake made the difficult decision to retire from professional football—not due to injury or declining performance, but because of systemic issues in how athletes access and coordinate professional support. The fragmented nature of athlete care and the lack of proper collaboration tools contributed to his falling out of love with the sport.
Rather than walk away, Jake chose to build the solution. Now based in Dubai, he combines his experience as an elite athlete with his role as a sports agency representative in the GCC region to create AthleteOSX—the platform he wishes he had during his playing career.
Jake's mission is personal: ensure that no athlete has to face the same barriers he did, and that every athlete can build the support team they need to achieve their dreams.
